Job Description

Established for over 30 years, Western Counties Roofing Ltd carry out roofing contracts for major developers throughout the South West. Our Head Office is located at Newton Abbot with area offices at Bodmin, Wellington & Barnstaple. We specialise in all forms of roofing including; Slating, tiling, leadwork, green roofs, metal sheeting & cladding, standing seam, single ply systems & aluminium flashings

We require a Site’s Supervisor to assist the Contracts Manager in the organisation, management, and control of all aspects of site work throughout the Somerset area. You will be responsible for the day-day running of contracts – running approximately 15 sites at any one time. Your role will be field based however you will need to reside within a reasonable daily commute to the Somerset area.

What will your role look like?

• Conducting pre-roof inspections, mid-roof inspections & completion sign-off’s.
• Delivery of toolbox talks to our tradesmen.
• Material monitoring.
• Plot scheduling with site teams and WCR Contracts Manager.
• Liaising and organising our workforce of roofing tradesmen and labourers.
• Regular communication with our in-house buying department and WCR Contracts Manager to ensure continuity and scheduling of works is correct, minimising any possible delays.
• Attendance of weekly sub-contractor meetings on site.
• Attend weekly meetings with your Contracts Manager at our regional office to discuss progress and planning.

What Do We Require?

• Valid driving licence.
• Minimum 3 years of construction experience.

Package details

•  Company van provided, subject to Revenue & Customs regulations.
• Local Office Base: Wellington.
• Full-time position.
• Holidays: 33 days including Bank Holidays.
• Pension: Auto Enrolment to Workplace Pension.
• Working Hours: 7:30am – 5.00pm (working from home not approved for this position).
