Western Counties Roofing are pleased to be associated with a product that has many unique features that sets it apart from its competitors. The flexibility to enable use on complex roof shapes, with the advantage of no hot works makes Rhepanol a very user friendly product.

FDT (Formerly Braas Single Ply) are the original producers of Rhepanol, which is now the oldest synthetic membrane made in Germany. The Rhenofol PVC system was added to the range in the mid-sixties. Since then more than 75 million square metres of Rhepanol have been supplied.

In Germany, where the flat roofing industry is the largest in Europe, about 80 million square metres of roofing is completed every year of which about one third is Single ply roofing.

FDT have been the market leader for many years and, since the recent merger with Alwitra, another leading German producer, have been supplying about one third of the total German marketplace, with a turnover in excess of £100 Million annually.

Rhepanol is FDT’s premier system leading the entire field of flexible waterproofing in terms of quality, added value, performance, versatility and in the all important question of the environment! Uniquely produced from Polyisobutylene (PIB) Rhepanol was the first single ply membrane roofing system in the entire European marketplace.

The only system currently available with a full ‘Life Cycle Assessment’ to ISO 1400044 proving this product ‘harmless to the environment’ in all stages from raw materials to production to installation and ultimately to disposal at the end of use.

Rhepanol needs no hot works whatsoever during installation, can be installed directly over old bituminous roofs, can be mechanically fixed, bonded or ballasted.

This system is labour saving and will achieve productivity even in inclement weather.

The Self-Sealing Edge System

self sealing rhepanol - from Western Counties Roofing

The pre-fabricated self-sealing edge system is different from conventional adhesive bonding.
Sealing of the seams is carried out by firmly joining homogenous materials.

Immediately after the self-sealing edge has been pressed to the connecting membrane the seam is waterproof.

Owing to the integrated self-sealing edge, seams can be sealed without open flame, hot air, solvent welding or additional adhesives, making application more efficient and almost independent of weather conditions.

Application is Simple!

Step 1

... roll out

Step 2

... clean the seam, pull off the
     protective strip

Step 3

... roll on the edge AND ... sealed!
